Agriculture

Equipment used in grain harvesting includes combines, tractors, grain baskets and filling machines, which use rotating joints. After harvest, many crops are processed using equipment that uses rotating joints. Food processing equipment that uses Deublin swivel joints includes cooling conveyors, crushers, scrapers, boilers, dough dryers, cutters and rollers.

Mining

Electrohydraulic equipment used in mining operations uses Deublin rotary joints including coal carts, drill heads, cranes and draglines. Additionally, the crane lever, drum grab and drum unit cylinder each require rotational coupling.

Oil and Gas

Drilling rigs (oil or gas) use air clutches and Deublin revolving boom brakes. Deublin water couplings are used to flush mud from the drill head, and must withstand shock and vibration in this severe application. Refineries and petrochemical plants use batch mixers, crushers, mixers and dryer rolls that each require Deublin rotary joints.

Paper

Deublin extends the supply chain from pulp and paper mills to downstream paper manufacturers. Factories use steam systems, siphons and water joints for heating and cooling. Use alternating joints to heat and cool the reel, as well as winding machines with air clutches and brakes.

Plastic

Manufacturing of plastic materials includes a wide range of applications such as molded film, box blowing, foam, flexible extrusion, sheet, multi-layer co-extrusion, blow molding, cables, injection molding and winding . Deublin rotary couplings for water and thermal oil service are used to heat or cool multiple processing rolls in a variety of applications. Additionally, Deublin rotary couplings for air and hydraulic service are used in winding and injection applications. Many modern winding applications now also use Deublin couplings.

Steel

The steel industry is one of the leading users of couplings primarily for continuous casting machines (CCMs) that use Deublin rotary couplings to cool the multiple rolls that support the molten plates as it moves by gravity through different passages on a table running downstream for annealing and heat treatment. Sheets are formed into rolls or sheets. Being continuously converted in processing centers requires hydraulic linkage to activate the mandrel.

Textile

The textile industry is a large user of water, steam and hot oil industries. The weaving, dyeing and finishing processes use the largest joints. Textiles go through a series of wet/dry processes. The drying and cooling process uses dry cans. The various applications are based on whether the textile material is woven, knitted, or synthetic.

Tire

The rubber tire plant uses Banbury mills for mixing,  extruders, chill tubes and rayon mills for tire cord  are used in every process to control temperature.
